Investing in the Future in one of our 5-Year Club Options
Becoming a member of one of the Foundation's popular 5 year Club options gives the Foundation Board a solid base to build an active annual budget.
A donor or couple may choose to become a Century Club member, $100 per year; a Millennium Club member, $200 per year; or a President's Club member, $500 (or more) per year. The Foundation Board uses the majority of these contributions for immediate educational grants or to cover the Foundation's operational costs.
Another option is to make a contribution that becomes a part of a permanent endowment fund. The Vicksburg Community Schools Foundation endowed funds are placed in the Kalamazoo Community Foundation. The principal from these monies can never be spent; only a portion of the interest generated by these endowed funds may be used for our school Foundation for educational grants. The Kalamazoo Community Foundation states that endowed funds are "For good, For Ever." Donations that are part of any Michigan Community Foundation endowment program are eligible for a State tax credit. You should check with your tax adviser for details and personal tax advantages.
